At St. Stanislaus Kostka Academy, Catholic faith formation is a top priority when educating our students. Students regularly participate in Holy Mass, religious devotions (such as Stations of the Cross and May Crowning), Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, religious activities, and service projects. School Masses are celebrated weekly on Fridays. Family Masses, where students come to Mass with their families, are celebrated monthly on Sundays. Prayer is integrated throughout the school day: each school day begins with our school-wide morning prayer and before lunch all students say grace. Students in preschool through 8th grade receive religious instruction on a daily basis and we incorporate the Catholic Faith into The 7 Habits of High Effective People.
Students assist in the Liturgy through lectoring, altar serving, and gift presentation. During the year, different classes participate in various projects. The purpose of these projects is to encourage students to be aware of those in need and to practice responding to those in need with compassion. The curriculum offers daily religious instruction including Catholic doctrine, scripture, morality, lives of the saints, social justice, as well as preparation for the Liturgy.
Each year, the students at St. Stan’s Academy have a focus of study in terms of Catholic Doctrine and Tradition:
